Hazardous Cabinets

Hazardous substance safety cabinets are manufactured to satisfy The Highly Flammable and Liquefied Petroleum Gas Regulation 1972, where appropriate. The Health and Safety Executive Guide HSG51 and DSEAR.

Heavy gauge construction using high quality mild steel that gives extra strength and rigidity to help withstand industrial type environments. These robust cabinets benefit from welded seams to increase stability and to reduce the risk of leakages. They have been designed to incorporate a leak- proof base sump. Doors are reinforced with steel door stiffeners to prevent buckling under extreme conditions.

For extra security and strength, several units benefit from three point locking to the doors. Doors incorporate welded semi concealed five knuckle hinges which are rivetted to the cabinets frame with steel rivets.

Sloping top option available to prevent unwanted storage on the flat top of some cabinets.

Each cabinet is supplied with an adjustable galvanized shelf as specified. Quality chrome locking handle supplied with two keys. Cabinets are pre treated and epoxy polyester powder coated to give a durable paint finish in safety yellow. Labelling complies with current guidelines. These products are not fire proof.

It is important to ensure that only the minimum amount of flammable liquid needed to carry out the work is stored in workrooms, laboratories etc. The Highly Flammable and Liquefied Petroleum Gases Regulations 1972(3) require that no more than a maximum of 50 litres of highly flammable liquids may be stored in workrooms etc, and they must be kept in suitable cabinets or bins in designated areas away from working or processing areas.
